Script annotation

Script - Doctor Who Source - http://www.bbc.co.uk/writersroom/scripts/doctor-who-series-3

Annotating this script helped me understand how a script is laid out and the different features you have to include in your script such as; page number, INT and EXT etc, so therefore I will be able to help the writer when we have to make our own script for our film. I will make sure she has included all the micro elements (Mise-en-scene, editing, camera and sound). My main role during the process is production designer, but I will still help other people from my team with their role. As I’m production designer I will be focusing more on mise-en-scene to help me visualize the script and the type of costumes the actors must wear, lighting etc.

Sources Used To Help Me

I had researched about how to add voice overs and as the role of the editor i can clearly see what different ways I can add a voice over in order to get the most effective outcome possible. Subsequently, the use of a voice over within our opening credits scene will ensure that our story is told clearly through our narrative.
As I am also interested in cinematography I have learnt basic tips and tricks in order to increase verisimilitude when filming as well as the fact that cinematography is more about just shots. It is about lighting, framing and different types of shots to use- this will help when we are creating the shot list.
This clip was essential as it taught me the basic aspects of how to mirror my video clips on Adobe Premier which is what I shall be using to edit and this will be useful as nearly all our shots are mirror images.
This video, taught me how to colour grade my video through the use of Adobe premier this will give my opening a more cinematic professional look rather than an nonprofessional, basic view of simple shots.

Research- Northwest studios A2 Media

In order to get an idea of what the filming process will be like we decided to join the A2 group and asked them questions whilst they were filming and editing their music video; by doing this, we have gotten a clear idea of how to plan our film opening as well as getting some insider "tips and tricks" that we can apply to our group in order to be the most efficient and organised group.
